JOUR 1288: Radio Storytelling and Podcasting

Formerly JOUR 1298

Accessibility and versatility are the secret to radio and podcast popularity. Audio waves are a more intimate way to delve into people's stories in greater depth, while allowing for the creative use of sound. Students work with industry-standard technology to produce news stories, podcasts, and feature-length audio productions while learning to write for the spoken word, select interview clips, perform on air, and line up podcasts and newscasts.

Priority registration in this course is offered to students admitted to the Diploma or Certificate in Journalism.

Students will receive credit for only one of JOUR 1288 or 1298.
