This online course is a continuation of NUTR 2322. This course examines the role of nutritional care in the prevention and treatment of disease. Specific areas of study are the role of nutritional care in diabetes, hypoglycaemia, weight control, and disorders of the cardio-vascular system, and kidneys. Emphasis is given to the role of the supervisory/technical staff in the implementation of nutritional care plans. Students who have registered in a FSRV or NUTR course twice or more must obtain approval of the department chair to register again.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum "C" grade in NUTR 2322.
