Stretching from the Arctic Ocean to the waters around Antarctica, crossing mountains, lakes, deserts, and jungles, the Americas are a diverse place with a rich past. Archaeologists have been captivated with when and how people began settling in this region of the world for as long as there has been archaeology, and have documented a wide range of societies across North, Central, and South America. Students in this course have the opportunity to explore the remnants of this amazing cultural heritage and examine how the past has, and continues to, affect the lives of people living throughout this region.
