**Discontinued** was last offered Spring 2007 Last Updated: 05-JUL-2007 In this course, students will examine vocational interests, values, aptitudes, and skills in the context of current labour market research. The course will cover developments in the labour market, and develop research and decision-making skills to assist students to determine education, training and career goals. Other topics covered will include workplace norms, expectations for job maintenance, and the rights of employees. Employers and Career Program faculty will be brought in to give students the employer's perspective on the needs of the workplace. By the end of the course, the students will have the knowledge and experience necessary to make informed career choices and to develop appropriate educational and financial plans.
Note: CCAP courses may not be used as credit towards a Langara certificate or diploma.
