It examines the form and function of everyday items such as tattoos, music posters, magazine covers, cell phones, as well as automobiles and houses, and it explores how environment, culture, and technology have shaped - and continue to shape - the design of such commonly used items. The course also looks at how design is related to "branding" and its influence on consumer preferences.
