HCAS 1130: Introduction to Health Care Assistant Practice

Students are introduced to the role of the health care assistant within the British Columbia health care system. They learn about the health care team and the roles and functions of health care assistants within the team. Further, students have opportunities to develop the self-reflective skills required for competent practice. Students will also be introduced to effective job finding approaches. Corequisites: HCAS 1100, 1101, 1110, 1120, 1140, and 1220.

Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to the Certificate in Health Care Assistant.
