Discontinued as of Spring Semester 2020 This course involves an examination of theory, concepts, and practice related to leadership and management in nursing. The emphasis is placed on the integration of new and specialized knowledge through the use of a decision-making framework (DMF) in understanding organizational change, human resource management, team building, resource allocation, risk management, and quality assurance within the provision of health care services. The impact of Informatics on the delivery of nursing and health care will be explored. Delivered in a mixed mode format. Prerequisite(s): A minimum "C+" grade in NURS 3209, 3261, 3262, and PHIL 1105; and an "S" grade in NURS 3263 or NURS 3264/3265. Corequisite(s): NURS 3309, 3330, and 3363.
