Helmholz's free energy, Gibb's free energy, specific heats, phase transitions, Brillouin function. Only offered in the Fall Semester. Prerequisite(s): PHYS 1215 or 1225 and one of: MATH 1271, 1273, 1274, or 2371 (may be taken concurrently);or permission of department.
