BIOL 2319 : Biological Invasions

**Discontinued** was last offered Summer 2004 Last Updated: 30-MAR-2004 In this course, we will address biological invasions primarily within an ecological framework. We will examine population dynamics, community structure, food web complexity and biodiversity in relation to alien invaders. Throughout the program, we will emphasize examples of invaders into East Africa and Canada, but include case studies of invasive species from all ecosystems and all over the world.

Prerequisite(s): First year biology or permission of the instructor. Corequisite(s): AFFS 1305 Note: Restricted to students participating in the Canadian Field Studies in Africa Program.
