Discontinued as of Spring Semester 2016 This course will look at how science has influenced and been influenced by society throughout history. The emphasis will be on physics, but other disciplines will be covered. The combination of lecture and lab sessions will help students understand major developments in science and how and why they arose. The course does not presuppose any previous knowledge of physics or mathematics. This course meets the Laboratory Science requirement for the Associate of Arts Degree. It may be taken as a science elective by students working towards the Associate of Science Degree.
