**Discontinued** was last offered Summer 2011 Last Updated: 05-JAN-2009 A one-semester course that investigates the details of water from molecular aspects through to macroscopic properties. Topics discussed include the behaviour of water, the composition and chemistry of natural waters, water analysis and analytical tools, health and safety issues, the quality of water, and the environment. The course will emphasize the laboratory and field techniques of water analysis. This course is recommended for students with an interest in environmental chemistry.
Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1220 or equivalent.
