Discontinued Summer Semester 2014; replaced by PSYC 3220. The course examines group theory and increases students' proficiency in the use of group skills. Lectures, small group experiential learning exercises and participation in a major group project are used to develop an understanding of group theory as well as to provide opportunities to apply the knowledge thus gained. Topics include group dynamics, communication, leadership, decision making, and management of controversy. Additional topics, such as psychology and the law and persuasion, will be included based on student career objectives.
