Discontinued as of Fall Semester 2016 This course represents an introduction to the legal tools used to regulate the use of land. The course uses a case study approach to look at the constitutional framework, powers and limitations, public control over private property, and the various acts that control land use and development. Included will be an in depth look at planning legislation as it applies to British Columbia Prerequisite(s): APPL 1110; or permission of the program co-ordinator.
