NURS 3364: Nursing Practice VII (B): Populations as Client

In this course, students engage in guided group-based practice to learn and to begin developing their nursing practice and leadership skills. Students have opportunities to work with populations in the promotion of health and healing within the context of community settings. Students focus on the core concepts of critical thinking, evidence-informed decision making, health promotion, and relational practice. Emphasis is placed on the students' abilities to use the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) principles, roles, and competencies at the Term 7 level. Graded S/U. Do not register for any courses on practice days. Corequisite(s): NURS 3161, 3165, 3367, and 4100.
Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Prerequisite(s): A minimum "C+" grade in all of the following: NURS 3209, 3261, 3262, and PHIL 1105; and an "S" grade in NURS 3264 and 3265.
